Friend makes the following commitments to fulfill SA8000 social responsibility standards:
Comply with all provisions of SA8000 social responsibility standard and local labor laws and regulations, including:
- The use of child labor and forced labor is prohibited, and suppliers or subcontractors who use child labor or forced labor are not accepted.
- Respect employees’ freedom and prohibit any form of forced labor.
- Provide safe and hygienic working and living conditions to ensure the safety and health of employees.
- Promote labor-capital cooperation and respect employees' freedom of association and collective bargaining rights.
- Provide an equitable and impartial working environment and prohibit any form of discrimination.
- Respect the basic human rights of employees and prohibit any form of degrading behavior.
- Reasonably arrange production plans, and reasonably arrange working hours, rest and vacation of employees.
- Provide reasonable wages and benefits to at least meet the basic needs of employees and the minimum wage standard.
- Comply with applicable environmental management rules, regulations, standards, and local environmental practices.
- Factory safety procedures will be maintained to prevent unauthorized dangerous goods from being mixed into shipments.
- Accept and actively cooperate with the on-site audit of social responsibility, and truthfully and completely provide the required audit information.
- Timely take corrective and remedial measures for any nonconformity that violates SA8000 social responsibility standards.
